Kum yıkama solüsyonu ( Sand equivalent stock solution )

Uygulamalar :  Kum Eşdeğeri Test Seti, taneli zeminlerde ve 4 No’lu elekten geçen ince agregalarda meydana gelen istenmeyen kil benzeri veya plastik ince tanelerin ve tozların nispi oranını gösterir. Test edilecek numune özel çözeltisine yerleştirilir. Silindir çalkalandıktan sonra 20 dakika çökelme süresi kadar bekletilir. Daha sonra kil süspansiyonunun üst seviyesi ve kum seviyesi için silindir ölçeğinde okumalar alınır. “Kum Eşdeğeri”, kum okumasının kil okuması x 100’e bölümüdür. Konsantre stok çözeltinin, kap açıldıktan sonra yalnızca üç aylık bir raf ömrü vardır.

Applications :  The Sand Equivalent Test Set indicates the relative portion of undesirable clay-like or plastic fines and dusts that occur in granular soils and fine aggregates passing the No. 4 sieve. The sample to be tested is placed in a special solution. After shaking the cylinder, it is allowed to stand for a 20-minute sedimentation period. Readings are then taken on the cylinder scale for the level of the top of the clay suspension and for the sand level. The “Sand Equivalent” is the sand reading divided by the clay reading x 100. The concentrated stock solution has a shelf life of only three months once the container is opened.
